Next-gen tech raises the bar for episcopic microscopy

Supplied by Leica on Thursday, 19 May, 2022

High-resolution episcopic microscopy (HREM) is a 3D analytical technique based on volume datasets composed of consecutive digital images obtained from the block surface of methacrylate resin-embedded embryos or tissues, as they are physically sectioned.

Learn about advanced technology that delivers:

·efficient regularity of sectioning, smooth block surface

·a smooth block surface with no artefacts

·an immediate 3D reconstruction of the samples without requiring a post-acquisition realignments step.
